The Brain Prize 2019

Aiming for treatment they have spent more than 30 years describing, understanding and diagnosing the most common hereditary form of stroke, CADASIL. For this, the four French neuroscientists from Paris Diderot and Paris Descartes universities, are now receiving the world’s most valuable prize for brain research – the Lundbeck Foundation Brain Prize, worth 1 million euros.

USPC-NUS Call for proposals 2019

As part of a cooperation launched in 2013, the Université Sorbonne Paris Cité (USPC) and the National University of Singapore (NUS) co-fund three calls for proposals to promote new scientific and academic collaborations between Europe and South East Asia.  These calls have enabled to start 45 research and / or teaching collaborations between NUS and USPC and 11 PhD mobilities in all disciplines.

Call for IdEx projects – International doctoral contracts

The Université de Paris project, supported by an IdEx label obtained last March, aims to build a world-class international research university resulting from the merger of the Paris Diderot and Paris Descartes universities and the integration of the IPGP. To meet the stated objective of boosting its attractiveness, the IdEx project “Université Paris 2019” is launching its first call and proposing, for the 2019 academic year, fourteen new international doctoral contracts.

New partnership pledges to address global sustainable urban cities challenge

Many of the world’s greatest cities, including London and Paris, face significant challenges around the sustainability of their public health and security systems, and changes to their populations subsequent to political, societal and economic developments. King’s College London and the Université de Paris have signed a Letter of Intent to combine the strengths of both universities and work together in addressing these global issues through establishing joint academic appointments, facilitating staff and student exchange opportunities, and building upon joint academic research projects across health, law, social sciences and the humanities, and which contribute to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
